Adam Idah kickstarted Celtic’s title-winning celebrations after opening the scoring in their 5-0 victory over Kilmarnock on Wednesday.

The on loan Norwich tapped home inside the opening five minutes at Rugby Park to start the celebrations in the away end, with Idah kissing the Celtic badge in celebration.
Idah darted to the back post to connect with Matt O’Riley’s low cross to convert his eighth goal in 14 matches since making the move north of the border.

Brendan Rodgers gave Idah the nod ahead of Kyogo Furuhashi, with the Japanese international struggling for form in recent matches.

Daizen Maeda, James Forrest, and a brace from O’Riley secured Celtic’s 54th league title and their 12th in the last 13 years.

Idah was replaced by Furuhashi on 62 minutes, and his strike was his first in three matches. Former Norwich striker Marley Watkins spearheaded Kilmarnock’s attack.

Reports in Scotland have suggested that Celtic are likely to maintain interest in Idah over the summer, with a fee of £5million being discussed.
