Here are the standout players from Maui, Hawaii’s excellent Under Armour Next Football Camp Series.
Maui, in stunning Hawaii, hosted the Under Armour Next tour’s last stop this past weekend. There were several gifted freshmen in the camp who have the potential to become future national recruits, making it a strong one.
After the camp, two players were invited to the 2025 Under Armour All-American Game in recognition of their outstanding efforts.
Here’s a look at the biggest acts from Saturday. Later in the week, we’ll have a lot more from UA camp, including a recruiting notebook and additional attention-getters.
Hoopii has impressed us on a couple occasions this summer, and we have seen him before. Again putting on a strong performance, he was invited to the ’25 Under Armour All-American Game and was named our Alpha Dog. He demonstrated why he is one of the region’s most physically intimidating offensive linemen by taking reps at both guard and tackle.
Not only did he win his reps. He triumphed in a commanding manner, frequently pushing his opponent five yards down the field before dropping him upon his back. He is quite strong, has a wide base, and has fast feet. He cannot be bullied by you. He plays with excellent technique and has the feet and balance to recover from countermoves. With Hawaii, San Jose State, SMU, and UTSA as the final four, he is scheduled to make his announcements on Monday.
Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele, Hawaii’s Ewa Beach Campbell Even though he didn’t win quarterback MVP, Keawe Sagapolutele was our most effective signal-caller. He’s had an e][pxcellent offseason and has made a name for himself as one of the nation’s and Western’s best quarterback prospects.
He may possess the greatest arm in the nation, but he also knows when to vary speeds and doesn’t simply hurl fastballs. The obvious thing about him is his arm strength, but he’s developing into a really good quarterback who can throw accurately to all parts of the field and has excellent game processing skills. On Monday, he will select his college from a final group that consists of Utah State, Boise State, Cal, and Oregon State.
