Tottenham Hotspur have missed out on Vitor Roque but allegedly made a better offer than Barcelona.
Vitor Roque has completed his move to Barcelona, seemingly rejecting an even more impressive proposal from Tottenham Hotspur. That is according to Vitor Roque’s agent Andre Cury, who has been speaking to the Charla Podcast in Brazil.
This has been a huge day for Vitor Roque, who has finalised his move from Athletico Paranaense to Barcelona.
Barcelona have confirmed that Vitor Roque will join up from next season and has signed until the summer of 2031.
ESPN suggest that Barcelona are paying around €40million (£34million) to sign Vitor Roque.
That is a hefty fee for an 18-year-old but the belief is that Vitor Roque can become a generational talent in the coming years.

Tottenham Hotspur miss out on Vitor Roque
What’s incredible is that Athletico Paranaense could have even earned more from selling Vitor Roque.
Agent Andre Cury claims that there were ‘much bigger’ offers on the table from both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Cury claims that the offers were around or even over €100million (£85.5million) as Vitor Roque attracted major interest.
However, the teenager only wanted to join Barcelona and the deal is done, leaving United and Spurs to wonder what could have been.
“We received much bigger proposals from Tottenham and Manchester United for Vitor Roque,” said Cury. “It was over €100million. But his career plan is well laid out and we opted for Barcelona. The moment is not to look at the money but the career,” he added.
We can only imagine that the €100million figure includes the contract, or Cury is going overboard as that is a staggering price – especially for Tottenham, who have never spent that much on signing one player.
