Perry Groves has backed Richarlison to explode at Tottenham Hotspur after a poor 12 months at the club.
Tottenham paid Everton a club-record transfer for the 26-year-old last summer, but he proceeded to only score one Premier League goal.
Despite those struggles, former Arsenal player Groves thinks Ange Postecoglou will get him back to form by ‘dragging it out of him’, as he told talkSPORT.
Richarlison has scored under the new Tottenham boss, during their League Cup defeat to Fulham, but it’s in the Premier League where it’s a different story.
After starting the first three league games and not scoring, he was dropped for the win over Burnley before the international break, in which Richarlison started as a number nine and scored a hat-trick.
But Groves is certain that, as Postecoglou gets more comfortable at Spurs, Richarlison will come good.

“I think there is a player in there,” said Groves. “I do. Ange will drag it out of him, don’t worry.”
Will competition help Richarlison?
Tottenham added youngster Brennan Johnson to their ranks on transfer deadline day from Nottingham Forest.
The Wales international can play across the front three, but mainly on the right or down the middle.
If Johnson gets going, then it will reduce Richarlison’s game time, but perhaps, that’s the kick up the backside he needs because competition from within can make a huge difference.
