CRISTIAN ROMERO REACTS TO TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR’S TRANSFER CALL ON DEJAN KULUSEVSKI

Cristian Romero has expressed his delight at Tottenham Hotspur’s decision to sign Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent transfer from Juventus.

The 23-year-old had been on-loan at Tottenham Hotspur for the past 18 months, impressing the fans with his unique play and unorthodox running style.Daniel Levy has put £25 million down on the table for Dejan Kulusevski, and when Spurs announced that on Instagram, his teammate Cristian Romero wrote in the comments section ‘Great, Dejan Kulusevski‘.Bargain deal from Levy
The Tottenham chairman is known to be a tough negotiator and it has sometimes proven to be costly, i.e., Spurs missing out on signings.

But this time, he has secured a bargain deal for the north London club because he has also managed to take around £5 million off the transfer for the creative wide player.Levy takes a lot of verbal hits for some of the work he has done sitting at the top of the club’s tree alongside absent owner, Joe Lewis, but he deserves praise for this one.

Kulusevski under Postecoglou
Under a defensive-minded coach in Antonio Conte, the 29-cap Sweden international scored seven goals and supplied 16 assists for Spurs. A lot of those came during his early spell at the club.

The hope will be that new manager Ange Postecoglou can wake up the left-footed technician and bring a bit of that early magic back.

If Kulusevski can prove to be a threat in a defensive team, then as the team pushes forward and goes back to being free-flowing and attacking, then some of the players that can benefit from that is the Swede himself.
