Tottenham have been searching for a new right wing-back for some time now, with the club lacking depth in that position. Matt Doherty has been plagued by injuries and poor form, while Emerson Royal often looks lost on the pitch.
Porro, will be a much-needed boost for the Tottenham defence and will likely be a starter from day one. He is known for his pace, athleticism, and excellent crossing ability, and will provide a solid attacking threat on the flank.
In addition to Porro, Spurs have also been linked with moves for Nicolo Zaniolo and Piero Hincapie. Zaniolo, who plays as an attacking midfielder for Roma, is highly rated and has been linked with clubs across Europe including AC Milan, and, strangely, Bournemouth. Hincapie, on the other hand, is a young Colombian defender who has been impressing for Bayer Leverkusen over in Germany.
While it remains to be seen if Tottenham will make any further signings on deadline day, the arrival of Pedro Porro is certainly a good start.
