Jamie Vardy has turned down an approach from Saudi Arabian side Khaleej FC, it has been claimed.
The 36-year-old remains eager to bring Leicester back to the Premier League next season. City ended their nine-year stint in the top-flight after finishing 18th last campaign.
According to Sky Sports, Vardy “immediately” rejected the prospect of talks with Khaleej. A move to Saudi Arabia is thought to not suit his family.
Question marks have been raised over the striker’s future following City’s relegation to the Championship. There is a possibility that high profile names could depart the club this summer.

During his time with City, Maddison was part of the squad that won the FA Cup, Community Shield as well as two fifth place finishes. He also played in the Europa League and Europa Conference League with the club, reaching the semi-final of the latter competition.
Maddison was one of the standout players in the squad over the last 18 months, but couldn’t help the club see off relegation from the Premier League at the end of the season. The drop down to the Championship made a move this summer inevitable.

New Leicester manager Enzo Maresca could have to make a decision on the future of midfielder Hamza Choudhury this summer, with Southampton reportedly showing an interest.
The City academy graduate will return to the squad in pre-season after spending the 2022/23 campaign on loan with Championship side Watford. He is expected to be among the first group of players to work with Maresca for the first time on Monday when the Italian takes his first training session.
It seems that Choudhury is now gaining interest from another Championship team. As reported by the Telegraph , Southampton are ‘looking at’ a deal for the City midfielder.
The report adds that it will be Maresca’s decision as to if he will be allowed to leave in the transfer window. The manager could therefore opt to take a look at him in pre-season before making a decision.

Leicester are “likely to submit a bid” for Swansea striker Joel Piroe “over the coming days” but potentially face Premier League competition for his signature.
The Dutchman has scored 41 goals in two seasons in the Championship since arriving at the Welsh club in July 2021 from PSV Eindhoven.
His performances in English football’s second tier have reportedly alerted him to the Foxes as new boss Enzo Maresca looks to rebuild City in his attempts to take Leicester straight back up to the top flight.
And our colleagues at Wales Online claim that the Welsh side are “bracing themselves for a bid” with it claimed that the Foxes are set to bid for him. However, they are not the only side reported to be interested in acquiring his services this summer.

Kante buys club
Former Leicester midfielder N’Golo Kante has purchased Belgian third-tier side Royal Excelsior Virton.
The France midfielder left the Foxes in 2016 to join Chelsea just a few months after helping City win their historic Premier League title under Claudio Ranieri.
Kante won another top-flight title in his first season at the Blues as well as a whole host of other trophies during his time in West London including the Champions League in 2021.
But after an injury-hit campaign at Chelsea, the 32-year-old will leave to join Saudi Arabia Pro League side Al-Ittihad on July 1 and on the same date, he will be taking from Flavio Becca as chairman of Royal Excelsior Virton.
