Leicester City star tells Tottenham what they can expect from ‘magic’ James Maddison

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has sent a heartfelt message to ‘best friend’ James Maddison following the attacker’s move to Tottenham earlier this week.

Maddison, who is Dewsbury-Hall’s senior by two years, ended his five season stay at the Leicester City when his £40million move to Spurs was finalised on Wednesday evening.In doing so that saw an important domino fall that could see new boss Enzo Maresca start to rebuild a squad that has already seen several familiar faces leave the King Power.

Few of them more popular or talented as Maddison, to whom Dewsbury-Hall paid a gushing tribute on his Instagram page, posting “You took me under your wing when I broke into the 1st team, something I will never forget. But now it’s a pleasure to call you one of my best friends. It’s going to be weird not seeing you everyday in & out of football but you deserve this and I couldn’t be prouder “I’ve learnt a lot from you and I’m grateful for that, taking time to give me tips and advice when I needed it. You’re one of the best players I’ve had the honour to share a pitch with but also an unbelievable person. Looking forward to watching more Madders Magic. Go well, love ya bro.”

Maddison responded with ‘Love ya brother. Friend for life’ and has also sent his own message to Foxes fans. Gary Lineker has also wished Maddison well at Spurs but having played 62 of his 80 Leicester games with Maddison in the team. Dewsbury-Hall’s reaction has been the most poignant.
