REPORT: PLAYER NOW READY TO JOIN TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR AMID MANCHESTER UNITED INTEREST

David Raya is ready to move to Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur amid interest from Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United, according to a report.

The Sun have reported that Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are interested in signing David Raya from Premier League rivals Brentford in the summer transfer window. The report in the British tabloid has claimed that the 27-year-old Spain international goalkeeper is “ready” to leave Brentford for Tottenham.

However, there is a problem.

According to The Sun, Tottenham are willing to pay only £20 million for Raya, who is valued at £40 million by Brentford.

With Manchester United also keen on the Spaniard and monitoring developments, the Bees are hoping that competition for the goalkeeper’s signature will push his transfer fee closer to £40 million. What should Tottenham Hotspur do about Brentford goalkeeper David Raya?
In our view, Tottenham Hotspur should not just pay the £40 million that Brentford want for David Raya.

We believe that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy should negotiate a lower fee, just like he does for all transfer deals.

Now, of course, it is very unlikely that Brentford will sell the goalkeeper for £20 million, especially with Manchester United keen on him, but maybe the Bees and Spurs could meet halfway and agree on a £30 million fee.
