Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur could now reportedly move away from a potential deal for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho after signing James Maddison.
According to The Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Jadon Sancho from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the summer transfer window.
The report has claimed that United are willing to sell the England international winger for £45 million.
However, Spurs may not actually make a move for the 23-year-old.
The Daily Star have reported that having just signed England international attacking midfielder James Maddison from Leicester City, Spurs are “likely to pursue other targets away from Sancho”.What should Tottenham Hotspur do about Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho?
In our opinion, Tottenham Hotspur should not rush into making a deal with Manchester United for Jadon Sancho.
Sancho has not really made a big impact at United, and we do not think that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy should just pay the £45 million that the Red Devils want for him.
That is a lot of money to cough off for a winger who has not done much of note in his two seasons at United.
And there is also the prospect of matching Sancho’s £350,000-a-week (Spotrac) wages at United.
That is simply too much for Tottenham.a
