The Spaniard’s loan move to Tottenham becomes permanent this month and he is certainly not looking to move on any time soon
Pedro Porro says he does not want to wake up from his dream as a Tottenham Hotspur player in the Premier League and explained that Eric Dier helped him settle at the club.
The 23-year-old’s January loan from Sporting turns into a £39m permanent move this month although some have suggested that as a more natural wing-back he might struggle to fit into Ange Postecoglou’s back four as a conventional full-back. Porro ended the season playing as a right winger in Ryan Mason’s 4-2-3-1 formation, having provided three goals and three assists in his 15 Premier League matches. In an interview this week Porro made it very clear that he is not intending to give up on his move to Spurs any time soon.
“It was a giant step, in the end, I’ve been fighting for it all my life and it’s something very big,” he said in quotes published on Sport Witness from an interview with Spanish media outlet AS.”And I don’t want to wake up from this dream, it is undoubtedly one of the best leagues in the world, if not the best, and being there every day is a gift for me for all the work I have been doing since I was little in my land.”
