White’s only other loan came at Portsmouth during the 2020-21 season as he made 21 league appearances and scored once, while also playing a part in Pompey’s runners-up finish in the EFL Trophy.
Wenham is delighted with this latest move.“I am really pleased Harvey White got his move to Derby, as exclusively broken by Football Insider,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“I appreciate they are on a really long unbeaten run, 19 games or something like that, apart from their FA Cup tie against West Ham.
“For me, he will very quickly establish himself as a starter at Derby and they will be thinking, ‘cor what a player we have here’.
“Hopefully they can get promoted and then he can stay with them in the Championship next year for the next stage of his development.“This loan has been a long tie coming.
“I have been wanting him to go out for the last three transfer windows and nothing ever happened so to see him go now is fantastic.”
